Order it with a way in
In the provider's order form choose Ubuntu 24.04, the size and the region. Under SSH key paste a public key, and keep its private half: Fodide logs in once with it. To make the pair on a computer: ssh-keygen -t ed25519 -f fodide-vps; fodide-vps.pub goes in the form, fodide-vps into Fodide at step 5. Finish the order.
Fodide logs in with a key, not a password. If the form takes no key, add it afterwards: open the provider's console (step 4), and add the public key to
~/.ssh/authorized_keys of the login.Either works. Fodide uses it exactly once, then forgets it (step 5).
